NANO CHALLA COOPERATIVE
Nano Challa is one of Ethiopia’s most celebrated cooperatives, nestled in the highlands of Jimma, Oromia. Established to empower local farmers and elevate the quality of their harvests, the cooperative has become synonymous with precision, transparency, and exceptional coffee craftsmanship.
Working closely with the Kata Muduga Farmers’ Union, Nano Challa manages two processing sites — Benji and Nano Challa — where traditional washed processing is perfected through careful cherry selection and meticulous drying. This commitment to detail highlights the pure expression of Ethiopia’s heirloom varieties and the distinct character of the region’s terroir.
The result is a cup of clarity, structure, and elegance — where deep fruit sweetness meets refined florals and black tea complexity. A coffee that stands as a testament to Ethiopia’s unmatched legacy in specialty coffee cultivation.
FLAVOUR NOTES:
Heavy dark fruit and florals. Black tea with deep sweetness and molasses. Round and coating body with purple fruit and passion fruit notes. Elegant and well-structured.
