APAX x Nostos Workshop
Workshop: An Introduction to Water Chemistry for Coffee
📍 Nostos St James's, 6 Orchard Pl, London SW1H 0BF
📅 Wednesday 13th May
⏱ 2 hours / 6pm - 8pm
🎟 30 tickets only - £15 per person
Water makes up over 98% of every cup of coffee you drink. Yet it's the part most people overlook.
Join us at Nostos St James's for a guided cupping that explores how water composition shapes everything you taste - from acidity and sweetness through to clarity and texture.
What to expect
You'll taste six coffees, each brewed with four different waters, side by side. As you move through the table, you'll begin to notice how minerals draw out different attributes in the same coffee - sharpening some, softening others, transforming the cup entirely.
It's a session designed to demystify water chemistry through your own palate, not a textbook. No technical background needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to taste closely.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants to understand coffee on a deeper level — home brewers, café professionals, and the simply curious. Whether you've cupped before or never picked up a spoon, you'll leave with a sharper sense of how the water in your kettle quietly shapes every brew you make.
